Fly Baghdad to enhance air connectivity between Pakistan and Iraq

International carrier Fly Baghdad has unveiled plans to begin direct scheduled flights from Baghdad to Karachi and Lahore starting March 2026. The new routes are set to enhance air connectivity between Pakistan and Iraq, promote religious tourism, support business travel, and strengthen bilateral relations.

Baghdad–Karachi Service from March 1

Beginning March 1, 2026, the airline will operate direct flights between Baghdad and Karachi.

Flight IF331 will depart Baghdad at 2:00 AM every Sunday and Wednesday, arriving in Karachi at 7:35 AM. The return flight, IF332, will leave Karachi at 8:35 AM and reach Baghdad at 10:55 AM on the same days.

The route will be operated twice weekly using a Boeing 737-900ER, providing consistent service between the Iraqi capital and Pakistan’s largest city.

Baghdad–Lahore Service from March 6

Starting March 6, 2026, Fly Baghdad will also launch direct flights to Lahore.

Flight IF343 will operate on Mondays and Fridays, departing Baghdad at 6:30 AM and landing in Lahore at 1:15 PM. The return flight, IF344, will leave Lahore at 2:15 PM and arrive in Baghdad at 5:40 PM.

Like the Karachi route, this service will run twice weekly using the Boeing 737-900ER aircraft.

The introduction of these direct flights is expected to simplify travel for Pakistani pilgrims visiting sacred sites in Najaf and Karbala, while also encouraging trade and diplomatic engagement.
