Firefighting teams, rescue units, medical staff, and security agencies demonstrated effective coordination, including operations under low-visibility scenarios. A fully equipped triage area was established, allowing medical personnel to quickly assess the injured and provide immediate first aid, showcasing the efficiency of Pakistan’s Airport Emergency Plan.
The successful drill highlights Gwadar’s growing importance as a strategic aviation and trade hub under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), supported by Chinese infrastructure investment. Aviation experts note that such emergency exercises are essential not only for ensuring passenger safety but also for building international confidence in Gwadar’s ability to handle commercial flights, cargo operations, and broader regional connectivity initiatives.
