Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev has held talks with Saeed Arman Yahya, head of the Pakistani private carrier Fly Jinnah, to discuss expanding air links, boosting tourism, and strengthening airline cooperation between the two countries, the Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed opportunities to increase passenger and cargo connectivity, noting that Uzbekistan–Pakistan relations have grown steadily in recent years across politics, trade, investment, industrial collaboration, tourism, culture, and education.

Officials highlighted ongoing systemic reforms in both countries aimed at facilitating trade and tourism, promoting joint ventures, enhancing Uzbekistan’s civil aviation sector, and creating a more attractive climate for foreign investors.

Yahya briefed the ambassador on Fly Jinnah’s operations and growth plans. The airline, which launched in 2022 with six aircraft, is set to expand its fleet with two additional modern planes by the end of this year. Fly Jinnah currently operates regular domestic flights in Pakistan and international routes to several cities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

“In 2026, we plan to launch regular flights to four new destinations,” Yahya said. “We are particularly interested in working with Uzbek carriers, including Uzbekistan Airways, to collaborate on cargo operations—such as dedicated cargo flights and LCL services—and to improve transit facilities for passengers traveling through our country. Our broader goal is to help position Tashkent as a regional aviation hub.”
