PITB joins hands with Civil Aviation Training Institute to boost digital transformation

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has signed two strategic contracts with the Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI) Hyderabad, under the Pakistan Airport Authority, in a major step toward digitizing aviation training and administrative systems in Pakistan.

The agreements aim to modernize CATI’s operations through the implementation of:

  • A Training & Campus Management System to streamline academic and administrative workflows
  • PayZen, PITB’s digital payment solution, which will facilitate automated fee collection via mobile banking, ATMs, and card payments

PayZen also features real-time financial dashboardsto enhance transparency, monitoring, and efficiency in managing institutional finances.

The contracts were signed by Ata-ur-Rehman, Director of Development & Procurement at PITB, and Engr. Sumair Saeed, Deputy Director General (Works & Development) and Director at CATI. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organizations, including:

  •         Shahid Akram Khan, Director
  •         Syed Ijlal Hussain and Muddasar Paracha, Joint Directors

  •         Arshad Ali, JtDS IT Payroll/Admin
  •         M. Saqib Butt, Director Finance

 

As part of the collaboration, the PITB team delivered a detailed presentation on workflow automation and the use of Artificial Intelligence in the aviation sector. They also committed to providing comprehensive training and ongoing technical support to CATI staff, ensuring smooth and secure implementation of the new systems.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf commented on the partnership, saying:
