FIA, CAA and airlines agree to adopt strategy to improve passenger facilitation at
Lahore Airport
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and
various airlines have agreed to adopt a joint strategy to improve facilitation
for international passengers at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The decision came during a meeting chaired by FIA Lahore Director Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia on Tuesday, aimed at streamlining immigration procedures and strengthening institutional coordination.

According to an FIA spokesperson, participants shared concerns and offered practical suggestions to minimize delays, improve scrutiny of travel documents, and combat human trafficking.
“Unnecessary delays in immigration must be
eliminated through stronger inter-agency cooperation,” the spokesperson said.
Director Ali Zia assured full support, reaffirming FIA’s commitment to working with all stakeholders for smoother passenger processing.

The meeting also addressed field-level operational issues and agreed on practical solutions to enhance coordination. Regular follow-up meetings will be held to monitor progress and ensure consistent implementation of agreed measures.
