Pakistan extends airspace ban on Indian aircraft for the fifth month

Pakistan issues notam to renew airspace ban on Indian aircraft  

Amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, Islamabad has extended its ban on Indian aircraft using Pakistani airspace until September 23.

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) issued a fresh NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) confirming the one-month extension. The directive applies to both civilian and military flights operated, owned, or leased by Indian carriers.

“All aircraft operated by Indian airlines will not be allowed to use Pakistani airspace. The restriction also remains applicable to Indian military and civilian aircraft,” the PAA stated.

The notice specifies that from August 20 through September 23, Pakistan’s airspace will remain closed to all Indian-registered aircraft and flights operated by Indian airlines or operators.
