Skardu International Airport holds drill to prepare for emergencies
The Pakistan Airports Authority
(PAA) carried out a full-scale emergency response drill at Skardu International
Airport to assess preparedness and enhance coordination among all relevant
agencies in the event of a crisis, a PAA spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday.
Supervised by the Airport Manager,
the exercise involved active participation from airport staff, armed forces, civil
institutions, and the district administration.

During the drill, the Chief Fire and Rescue Officer delivered a detailed briefing outlining the airport’s crisis management strategy and response protocols.
The drill aimed to sharpen the
skills of all stakeholders and ensure effective collaboration in handling
emergency situations.
