PAF Planes to take part in Royal International Air Tattoo 2025
A contingent of the Pakistan Air
Force (PAF) has landed in the United Kingdom to take part in the Royal International
Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025, one of the world’s premier military aviation events.
According to the Inter-Services
Public Relations (ISPR), the PAF fleet includes the state-of-the-art JF-17
Thunder Block III fighter jets and C-130 Hercules transport aircraft,
showcasing the nation’s cutting-edge aviation technology and capabilities.

The aircraft touched down at Royal Air Force Base Fairford, where aviation enthusiasts and military observers had gathered in anticipation. The PAF’s presence at the event underscores its operational readiness, professional competence, and growing self-reliance in aerospace development.
During the transcontinental flight,
the JF-17 Thunder Block III demonstrated its long-range capabilities by
successfully conducting mid-air refueling using an IL-78 tanker aircraft—an
impressive feat that highlights the PAF's expanding global reach.
The ISPR noted that the JF-17
Thunder Block III is built to confront modern defense challenges, maintain air
superiority, and carry out a wide array of combat missions. The aircraft’s
combat credentials were proven during recent engagements with India.
