Collision at Karachi airport disrupts plane's flight
A cargo aircraft at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport was grounded late Friday night following a collision with
a ground service vehicle, airport sources confirmed.
The aircraft, operated by an
international cargo carrier, was parked in its designated area when a loader
truck collided with it. Preliminary reports suggest that the truck may have
experienced a brake failure, causing the accident.
No injuries were reported, but the
incident has raised concerns due to the potential operational disruptions and
financial impact. As a precautionary measure, the aircraft has been taken out
of service while a thorough damage inspection is conducted.
