Private airlines leaves passengers behind over non-eligibility
An AirSial flight to Madinah left 60
passengers stranded at New Islamabad International Airport on Saturday,
sparking frustration among those affected.
The flight, PF-7730, departed for
the holy city of Madinah but left behind passengers, including women and
children, who were expecting to board. These stranded travelers had arrived at
the airport from distant regions and had to purchase alternative tickets from
other airlines to reach their destination.

Upon inquiry, AirSial’s local
representatives clarified that only passengers intending to perform Umrah were
permitted to board the flight. Those traveling with their families or holding
work permits were not eligible for this specific flight. The airline stated
that these restrictions and the required arrival time had been communicated to
passengers in advance.
However, the stranded passengers
staged a protest against what they described as poor handling and carelessness
by the airline’s staff.
