Uzbekistan has announced that it
will soon offer a visa-on-arrival facility for Pakistani tourists, with the new
policy expected to be in place by the end of 2025.
According to Albina Murtaza,
Uzbekistan's Country Representative, the change is part of ongoing diplomatic
discussions between the presidents of the two nations. In addition to the
visa-on-arrival option, an e-visa system is also expected to be introduced
within the next two to three months.

Currently, Pakistani travelers are
required to apply for a visa through the Uzbek Embassy in Islamabad, a process
that many find cumbersome. The introduction of the visa-on-arrival facility
will significantly ease travel for Pakistani citizens, offering greater
convenience.
The new initiatives are part of
Uzbekistan’s broader efforts to enhance tourism and bilateral ties, and they
promise to provide Pakistani tourists with more hassle-free options to visit
the Central Asian nation.
