Pakistan and Uzbekistan seek to increase cooperation between their air forces
A high-level defense delegation from Uzbekistan,
led by Major General Burkhonov Akhmad Jamalovich, Deputy Minister of Defence
and Commander of the Air Defence Forces and Air Force of the Republic of
Uzbekistan, met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the
Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, at Air Headquarters in Islamabad.
The discussions focused on matters of mutual
interest, including ways to enhance bilateral military cooperation, joint
training initiatives, and technological collaboration in aerospace sectors.
Upon Major General Burkhonov's arrival, a smartly turned-out contingent from the Pakistan Air Force presented a Guard of Honour.

During the meeting, the Chief of the Air Staff
emphasized the strong bilateral military ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan,
reaffirming PAF's commitment to offering full support in basic and
tactical-level pilot training, as well as technical training for Uzbekistan Air
Force maintenance crews to build their personnel's capacity.
The Air Chief also highlighted the deep-rooted religious and cultural bonds shared by both nations, which form the foundation of their shared commitment to regional peace and security.
