The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has repatriated the bodies of eight Pakistani nationals who were brutally murdered in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchistan province last week. A PAF C-130 aircraft transported the victims' remains to their hometown of Bahawalpur on Thursday, following a directive from the Pakistani government.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the bodies were flown from Zahedan, Iran, after the completion of all legal formalities. The remains were received by the Pakistani Consul General in Zahedan and transported to Pakistan in the early hours of the morning.

A solemn ceremony was held at Bahawalpur Airport upon the aircraft’s arrival, where civil and military officials gathered to honor the deceased. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and other senior military leaders expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

The victims—auto mechanics by profession—were found murdered in the Iranian town of Mehrestan. Six of them were from Khanqah Sharif and two from Tehsil Ahmedpur Sharqia. Reports indicate they were subjected to a brutal execution, with their hands and feet bound.
