SF Cargo starts operations at Islamabad International Airport

The carrier plans to increase its frequency to four flights per week in the near future
 

SF Cargo launches flights at Urumqi-Islamabad route  

SF Cargo has officially launched its operations at Islamabad International Airport, marking a significant step for Pakistan’s air freight sector. The cargo flights, designated as Flight 03-233/234, are operating on the Urumqi-Islamabad-Urumqi (URC-ISB-URC) route using a Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Each flight carries around 22,775 kg of cargo, contributing significantly to the country’s freight industry, according to a statement from the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

Currently, SF Cargo operates twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, with an estimated arrival time of 11:30 AM at Islamabad International Airport. The carrier plans to increase its frequency to four flights per week (Tuesday through Friday) in the near future.

This expansion is expected to boost revenue through cargo throughput charges and create new export opportunities to Urumqi, providing local exporters with enhanced access to the Chinese market.
