PIA's ticketing portal creates difficulties for employees
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees
have been facing significant challenges as the airline’s ticketing portal,
"Hit-It," has been out of order for the past 10 days. The disruption
has particularly affected employees who are trying to obtain tickets for
travel, with many individuals—especially those planning to travel for
Umrah—experiencing considerable difficulties.
A PIA spokesperson explained that the system is currently undergoing an upgrade, though there is no confirmed timeline for when it will be back online. Employees are typically entitled to annual domestic and international tickets based on their rank, but the prolonged outage has caused frustration among staff members.

To address the issue, PIA has introduced an
alternative ticketing system, the Crew Resource Control (CRC) system, to
support employees during the downtime. However, many staff members have
expressed dissatisfaction with the alternative, citing its inefficiency and the
delays it has caused.
Despite numerous inquiries, PIA has not provided a clear date for when the "Hit-It" system will be fully restored.
