PIA expands international travel options for passengers
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the restoration of eight
key international routes over the past six months, expanding travel options for
passengers. These routes had previously been suspended due to a shortage of
aircraft, but the intervention of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has helped make
this achievement possible.
Among the routes reopened, the Islamabad to Paris flight, inactive for over
four years due to EASA restrictions, is now operational again with a Boeing 777
aircraft servicing the route.

The Gwadar to Muscat route has reopened after a 13-month break, and the
Quetta to Jeddah route has been reinstated after three years and four months,
both serviced by ATR aircraft.
Furthermore, the Faisalabad to Jeddah and Faisalabad to Medina routes have
also been restored after a similar period of suspension, with Airbus A320
aircraft now operating these routes. Lastly, the Lahore to Kuwait route has
