Technical approval granted to Turkish company’s bid for Islamabad Airport
A significant development in the outsourcing of Islamabad International
Airport has emerged, with reports indicating that a Turkish company’s bid and
documents have received technical approval.
Bids for the outsourcing project were submitted, but representatives from
two companies were disqualified due to late submissions. The Turkish company
submitted the highest bid for the project, which was evaluated by a committee
led by the Secretary of Aviation.

Sources indicate that a comprehensive evaluation of the Turkish company’s
proposal is currently in progress. Once the evaluation is complete, the
proposal will be presented to the Pakistan Airports Authority’s Board of
Directors.
If the board grants approval, the outsourcing contract will be awarded to
the Turkish company, though final approval will also be required from the
federal cabinet.
Secretary of Aviation, Ahsan Mangi, is scheduled to brief the Prime Minister
on the progress of the outsourcing efforts.
