A PIA spokesperson reported that the captain promptly engaged the emergency
braking system, bringing the aircraft to a safe stop. However, the abrupt
deceleration caused all tires to burst. Fortunately, all passengers were safely
evacuated and taken to the airport lounge.
To address the technical issues, PIA has dispatched an engineering team from
Karachi to Dubai. The airline has committed to conducting a thorough
investigation to ensure passenger safety.
In a related incident, another PIA flight from Muscat to Peshawar was
diverted to Karachi due to a detected hydraulic failure.
