Pakistan’s Army Chief expresses satisfaction with the PAF's combat readiness
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir emphasized the critical role of inter-service collaboration during his visit to a Pakistan Air Force
(PAF) airbase for the Indus Shield-2024 exercise on October 24, 2024. He
underscored that such collaboration is essential for achieving operational
success.
General Munir was welcomed by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer
Ahmed Baber Sidhu, with Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf also in
attendance.
“Indus Shield-2024 is the largest multinational exercise in the region,
involving 24 distinguished Air Forces. This initiative aims to enhance
interoperability and training, reflecting the exercise's motto: ‘Stronger When
Together,’” a statement from Pakistan military’s media wing ISPR stated.

During his visit, COAS Munir expressed his satisfaction with the PAF's
combat readiness and the advancements made through various modernization
programs.
He observed exercise operations, including a static display of cutting-edge
technologies, and received briefings on the PAF’s modernization efforts to
address contemporary security challenges, culminating in an impressive aerial
display by PAF fighter jets.
General Munir interacted with the aircrew, praising their commitment to
safeguarding Pakistan's airspace.

The air chief noted that the ongoing Indus Shield-2024 exercise will significantly enhance interoperability among participating nations and prepare their air and ground crews for modern warfare challenges.
