Pakistan Air Force conducts air drills to test military ability

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is hosting significant multinational air exercises, Indus Shield 2024, alongside key regional allies including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. These exercises aim to strengthen military partnerships and enhance strategic cooperation among the participating nations.

Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir is expected to observe the exercises and receive a detailed briefing on the scope of the operations, which focus on addressing shared security challenges in the region.

Indus Shield 2024 showcases the professionalism and capabilities of the participating air forces amid growing tensions in the Middle East. The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) has deployed six Panavia Tornado fighter jets, renowned for their versatility in both ground attack and tactical support roles. Turkey has sent F-16 fighter jets, while Egypt is participating with Mirage 2000 aircraft. Pakistan's contribution includes its advanced J-10C fighter jets.

This joint exercise underscores the commitment of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt to maintaining military readiness and fostering closer defense ties in a region facing evolving security threats.
