Pakistan expresses solidarity with Turkiye in the aftermath of attack on aviation site  

Pakistan has strongly condemned a terrorist attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) headquarters near Ankara, which claimed five lives and injured 14 others. In separate statements, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the Foreign Office expressed their deepest condolences to the Turkish government and people, reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity with Turkiye in this difficult time.

President Zardari extended condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured. He emphasized that terrorism, in all its forms, is a global menace, and Pakistan, having endured the scourge of terrorism itself, stands with Turkiye in its fight against militancy. He called for collective international efforts to eliminate terrorism and secure a peaceful future.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement on X, condemned the attack as a "dastardly act" and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Turkiye. He expressed condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people.

The Foreign Office also condemned the "cowardly attack" on the TUSAÅž facilities and expressed confidence in Turkiye's resilience and determination to overcome terrorism. It reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Turkiye’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism.
