At least 38 Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) planes were struck by birds in the first half of 2024. The incidents were reported in various locations, including Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Sukkur, Jeddah, and Dubai.

Of the 38 incidents, five PIA aircraft— including an Airbus A320 and three Boeing 777s—sustained damage, while the others remained largely unaffected.
