PIA stops passengers taking in-flight photography and videography

PIA combats trend of taking in-flight photos and videos by passengers

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is stepping up its efforts to combat the increasing trend of passengers taking photos and videos during flights, especially during takeoff and landing.

To address this, the airline has begun making regular announcements reminding passengers that photography and videography are strictly prohibited on board.

PIA emphasizes that this policy is in accordance with Pakistan's aviation regulations, which are designed to safeguard passenger privacy and prevent potential issues that could arise from unauthorized recording.

A spokesperson noted that this restriction aligns with global aviation standards.

The development comes after a Pakistani travel blogger in a video shot during PIA flight to Skardu highlighted dirty seats with the broken handles, and duct-tape on the overhead bin.
