New Gwadar International Airport slated for completion in 2024
The New Gwadar International Airport is slated for completion and
inauguration this year, according to discussions held in Beijing.
The status of the under-construction Gwadar airport was a key
topic during a luncheon meeting on Tuesday between Pakistan's Deputy Prime
Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Luo Zhaohui, Chairman of
the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA).

The meeting also covered various CIDCA projects aimed at the
socioeconomic development of Pakistan, with a special focus on Gwadar. The
Deputy Prime Minister praised CIDCA's crucial role in supporting development
projects in Pakistan and other developing countries.
Chairman Luo Zhaohui reiterated CIDCA's commitment to the swift
implementation of its projects, which align with the enhanced vision of the
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
In a separate meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Dar met with Wu
Shengling, Executive Vice President of China Three Gorges Corporation and
Chairman of China Three Gorges International Limited.

Dar outlined Pakistan's reform agenda and highlighted
