PIA blames Canadian asylum policy for the 'vanishing' of staff
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is accusing Canada of
being behind the disappearance of two of its flight attendants.
The incident unfolded last week when two flight attendants
went missing upon their arrival in Toronto on a flight bound for Canada,
originating from Islamabad.
In an interview with Arab media, PIA spokesperson Abdullah
Khan expressed concern about the recurring trend of employees going missing in
Canada.

to conduct security audit of Pakistani airports
The airline promptly informed local Canadian authorities and
initiated an internal inquiry, which could lead to the termination of the
missing employees' services.
Khan attributed the increasing cases of disappearance to
Canada's lenient asylum policy, highlighting that eight PIA employees have
vanished in Canada over the past two years.
This reflects a broader pattern of individuals seeking
better economic conditions in developed countries, exemplified by the recent
tragedy of a boat carrying 350 Pakistani illegal immigrants sinking near
Greece.
