Iraqi airline Fly Baghdad is set to launch flights between Baghdad and Karachi from October 21, opening a new travel option between the capitals of Iraq and Pakistan’s largest city.

However, details regarding the flight frequency, departure timings, fares and whether the service will operate year-round have yet to emerge.

The proposed route is expected to offer an additional option for passengers travelling between the two countries for business, family visits and other purposes. The service could also benefit travellers connecting through Baghdad, depending on the airline’s schedule and available onward connections.

The launch of the Baghdad–Karachi service would add another connection between Iraq and Pakistan, where air links serve a range of travel needs, including commercial activities, family visits and religious journeys.

Karachi, home to Pakistan’s busiest commercial centre and a major international airport, provides an important gateway for international travellers. Baghdad, meanwhile, serves as Iraq’s principal aviation hub and a potential connection point for passengers travelling to other destinations served by Fly Baghdad.
