Multi-purpose fuel and service facility planned at Islamabad International Airport

International Airport is set to gain its first electric vehicle (EV)
charging station as part of a new multi-purpose fuel and service facility
planned within the airport premises.
According to an auction notice issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), lease rights
are being offered for the development and operation of a petrol pump, an EV
charging station, and related support facilities at the airport.
The designated site, Plot No. F-180 C, spans
4,532 square yards and has been allocated for a full-service complex. The
facility will include a tuck shop, lube shop, tyre shop and a restaurant,
providing comprehensive services for travelers and motorists.

The lease will be awarded for an initial period
of 30 years, with the option to extend it by an additional 20 years through
mutual agreement, in line with the PAA Land Lease Policy 2019.
Bidding will be open exclusively to licensed oil marketing companies. The auction is scheduled for February 4, 2026, at a hotel in Islamabad. The successful bidder will be required to establish and operate the fuel station and EV charging infrastructure on an “as-is, where-is” basis.
