Turkish delegation briefs Pakistan side on their country's rapid progress in aviation
Pakistan and Türkiye have discussed
expanding cooperation across aviation, defense, and high-technology industries
during a meeting between a high-level Turkish delegation and Federal Minister for Commerce
Jam Kamal Khan.
The Turkish delegation was led by Ahmet
Khan, Group CEO and Honorary Investment Counselor of Pakistan in Türkiye, and
included senior executives from Türkiye’s aviation, aerospace, drone
technology, defense systems, automotive engineering, and advanced materials
sectors. The delegation expressed strong interest in joint ventures, technology
transfer, and establishing manufacturing facilities in Pakistan.
Briefing the Minister, the Turkish
side highlighted Türkiye’s rapid progress in aviation and defense industries,
citing successful international collaborations and signaling readiness to
broaden such partnerships through Pakistan.

Jam Kamal Khan welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening industrial and economic ties with Türkiye. He underscored the long-standing people-to-people relations between the two countries and emphasized the vast potential for collaboration in aerospace, defense manufacturing, minerals development, and dual-use production.
The Minister noted that Pakistan’s
growing engineering base and abundant critical mineral resources position the
country as an attractive destination for high-value industrial cooperation. He
encouraged Turkish companies to consider Pakistan as a strategic production and
export hub for regional and global markets, including ASEAN, Africa, the Gulf,
and South Asia.
Jam Kamal also highlighted
opportunities for trilateral and multilateral partnerships that leverage the
complementary strengths of both nations. He briefed the delegation on ongoing
initiatives, including plans for an expanded Expo Centre in Karachi and
enhanced coordination between the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Defense
Production, and national technology institutions.

The Turkish delegation welcomed Pakistan’s strategic outlook and expressed readiness to pursue long-term cooperation in aviation, defense manufacturing, engineering, and advanced materials. The meeting concluded with both
sides agreeing to advance sector-specific engagements, promote B2B linkages,
and explore investment-led industrial partnerships aimed at boosting bilateral
trade and technological cooperation.
