Work on D.I. Khan International Airport is advancing steadily: Kundi

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said on Saturday that the establishment of the Dera Ismail Khan
International Airport is advancing steadily in a phased and satisfactory
manner. He expressed confidence that the project would significantly transform
the socio-economic outlook of the entire region.
The Governor shared these views during a meeting with senior
Pakistan Peoples Party leader Zafar Ali
Khan Gandapur, who called on him at the Governor House in Peshawar.

Governor Kundi noted that Section 4 has been enforced on the
land allocated for the airport, and specialized aviation teams are actively
conducting preliminary planning at the site.
He further stated that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz
Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are expected to inaugurate the
landmark project soon.
Highlighting its impact, the Governor said the D.I. Khan
International Airport would not only create employment opportunities for local
communities but also stimulate economic growth across all southern districts of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Zafar Ali Khan Gandapur lauded the Governor’s efforts in
promoting major public-sector initiatives in D.I. Khan and urged the expansion
of NADRA, passport, and Benazir Income Support Programme facilities in the
district.
