Serene Air to restart domestic flights operation soon
The Pakistan
Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has reinstated Serene Air’s operating licence, clearing
the way for the airline to restart domestic and international operations after
a month-long suspension triggered by a shortage of airworthy aircraft.
Serene Air was grounded last month
when the carrier failed to meet the regulator’s minimum fleet requirements.
Despite multiple warnings to restore part of its fleet, the airline was unable
to comply, prompting the PCAA to suspend its Air Operator
Certificate.

Air’s operating licence suspended over safety non-compliance and fleet shortage
The airline now plans to resume domestic flights within two months and restart international routes within three months, pending regulatory approvals.
Serene Air COO Abdul Basit said the
reinstatement will enable the carrier to repair grounded aircraft, return
planes currently parked abroad, stabilise operations, and clear delayed
employee salary payments next month.
PCAA spokesperson Air Commodore
(retd) Shahid Qadir confirmed the restoration, stressing that adherence to
aviation safety and regulatory standards will remain essential.
With its licence restored, Serene
Air aims to progressively rebuild its schedule while ensuring full compliance
with PCAA requirements.
