Japan to provide latest equipment to Multan Airport for baggage handling
The Japan International Cooperation Agency
(JICA) has announced plans to install a modern Level-3 baggage handling system
at Multan Airport, a
move aimed at enhancing passenger screening and airport efficiency.
During a recent visit, the JICA
delegation inspected the airport and collected soil samples in preparation for
the upgrade. The Level-3 system will feature advanced CT scanners and trace
detection technology, enabling more effective baggage screening.

In addition, the Japanese team handed over two new CCTV cameras to the airport administration to strengthen security.
Airport officials assured passengers
that screening and airport operations will continue uninterrupted during the
installation of the new system.
