The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has completed an audit of six airports across Pakistan as part of its plan to enable Pakistani airlines to operate direct flights to Saudi Arabia, official sources confirmed.

Originally, audits were scheduled at seven airports, but the inspection of Sialkot Airport was postponed due to ongoing flood conditions.

The GACA audit teams assessed airport security environments, Airports Security Force (ASF) protocols, airline flight procedures, cargo handling, and regulated agent and flight kitchen security procedures.

The audit was conducted in two phases. The first GACA team inspected Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad airports from August 25 to 30, while the second team covered the remaining locations.
