President Zardari asks Serene Air to expand its fleet to boost Pak-China connectivity
President Asif Ali Zardari has urged
Serene Air to expand its fleet in order to boost Pakistan’s aviation
connectivity with China. He made the remarks during a meeting with Serene Air’s
Owner and CEO, Dr. Yunchun Yang, emphasizing that greater aircraft capacity
would enhance domestic services and enable more direct international routes,
particularly to major Chinese cities.
Dr. Yang—who holds a PhD from the
University of California and also leads a global semiconductor company with
subsidiaries in Sweden and the United States—reaffirmed his commitment to
increasing investment in Serene Air’s Pakistan operations. He also highlighted
the airline’s collaboration with the Pakistan Air Force on JF-17 avionics,
describing it as an example of the company’s growing role in both civil aviation
and defense technology.
