Khan Airport to improve efficiency in air crash disasters
A comprehensive emergency drill was
successfully carried out at Farooq Ahmad Khan Leghari International Airport on Thursday to evaluate and enhance coordinated responses among airport
departments, airlines, and external emergency services.
The exercise simulated an aircraft
crash, followed by firefighting and passenger evacuation operations.
Organized jointly by the Pakistan Airport
Authority in collaboration with DHQ Hospital, Rescue 1122, Airport Security
Force, Ghazi University, Civil Defence, and other government agencies, the
drill involved participation from multiple stakeholders to ensure preparedness
for real-life emergencies.

Neutral evaluators from the aviation, emergency rescue, and medical sectors monitored and assessed the performance of the exercise.
The drill was conducted under the
supervision of Airport Manager Zakir Khan, Chief Fire and Rescue Officer Adeeb
ur Rehman, and Exercise Coordinator Imran Ahmad, ensuring strict adherence to
safety protocols and operational standards.
