Upgraded runway of DG Khan Airport will accommodate A320 aircraft
The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) held its seventh
e-Kacheri session on Friday, chaired by Deputy Director General Sumair Saeed,
to gather public feedback on airport services and facilities nationwide. Senior
officials from SQMS, Engineering Services, Commercial and Estate, Human
Resources, and Planning and Development were also present.

Airport runway to undergo extended closure for repairs
During the session, Saeed announced that the runway at DG
Khan Airport would be upgraded to accommodate A320 aircraft, with the project
slated for completion by December 2026. He highlighted that, once finished, the
airport is expected to become a financially viable destination for airlines,
based on projected passenger growth.
