Pakistan conducts missile test in the wake of India tensions
Pakistan successfully conducted a test launch of its Abdali ballistic missile on Saturday, demonstrating what officials described as enhanced operational readiness amid rising tensions with India.
The test comes days after a deadly
attack in Kashmir that left 26 dead, an incident that has further strained
bilateral relations, with New Delhi accusing Islamabad of involvement.

According to the Pakistani military, the surface-to-surface Abdali missile has a range of 450 kilometers and is equipped with an advanced navigation system and improved maneuverability. The launch aimed to validate “the operational readiness of the troops and key technical parameters,” a military spokesperson said.

Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated the team behind the successful test,
praising their role in strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.
