Pakistan's private airline starts direct flights between Karachi and Skardu
Airblue launched its inaugural direct flight from Karachi to Skardu on Saturday, marking a major milestone in strengthening domestic connectivity and promoting tourism in one of Pakistan’s most stunning northern regions.
The launch event took place at Karachi
airport, where Airblue’s General Manager Marketing and Director Commercial
described the new route as a key development in the airline’s goal to link the
country’s diverse regions.

“This inaugural flight to Pakistan’s breathtaking tourism gem reflects our unwavering commitment to promoting domestic tourism and enhancing regional connectivity,” the official said. He further emphasized the airline’s focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and value, positioning Airblue as a “national enabler of progress, connectivity, and global reach.”
The new flight route is expected to
improve access to Skardu for both tourists and residents, potentially
increasing visitor numbers and supporting local businesses.
