FlyDubai starts operation from Peshawar Airport
FlyDubai has officially commenced
flight operations from Bacha Khan International Airport, marking a significant
step in expanding international air connectivity for the region. The airline's
inaugural flight arrived late last night carrying 164 passengers, and was
welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute on the tarmac.
To celebrate the occasion, a
cake-cutting ceremony was held at the airport, attended by airport officials
and representatives from FlyDubai.
The Dubai-based airline will now
operate daily flights—seven per week—from Peshawar, offering new opportunities
for travelers and boosting connectivity between Pakistan and destinations
across the Gulf and Europe.

According to the Pakistan Airports
Authority, this development is part of a broader initiative to increase
international access from regional airports and facilitate easier travel for
overseas Pakistanis and international tourists.
FlyDubai’s expansion into Peshawar
is expected to enhance trade, tourism, and business travel between Pakistan and
the UAE, while providing more options to Pakistani travelers headed to Europe
and the Middle East.
