ASF official removed from service after misbehaving with an airport passenger
An assistant sub-inspector of the Airport
Security Force (ASF) has been dismissed from service after an internal inquiry
found him guilty of manhandling a passenger at Islamabad International Airport
earlier this week.
According to official sources, the incident occurred on Tuesday when a passenger, accompanied by his family and preparing to depart for an international flight, mistakenly attempted to enter through the staff gate. The situation escalated after a verbal exchange between the passenger and the ASF official, identified as Mr. Zia, leading to a physical altercation.

Senior ASF personnel quickly intervened to
de-escalate the situation, and a formal investigation was launched to determine
the facts. The inquiry confirmed misconduct by the ASF official, resulting in
his immediate dismissal.
A video circulating on social media shows the
official approaching the passenger near the staff gate. In the footage, the
passenger can be heard accusing the official of slapping him and demanding an
explanation.
The incident took place during peak operational hours when several international and domestic flights were arriving and departing. ASF has yet to issue a public statement, but officials confirmed that disciplinary action was taken in line with standard procedures.
