Ambassador to represent Pakistan at ICAO
High Commissioner of Pakistan to
Canada, Ambassador Muhammad Saleem, formally presented his credentials as Pakistan’s
Representative to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to the
organization’s Secretary General, H.E. Mr. Juan Carlos Salazar, during a
ceremony held at ICAO Headquarters in Montreal.
During the occasion, Ambassador Saleem reaffirmed Pakistan’s enduring commitment to ICAO’s core objectives,
including aviation safety, air navigation, capacity and efficiency enhancement,
international aviation security, facilitation, and environmental protection.

He noted Pakistan’s significant past contributions as a member of the ICAO Council from 1973 to 2007, emphasizing the country’s active role in the organization's policy-making and deliberation processes over the decades.
Looking ahead, Ambassador Saleem
expressed Pakistan’s intention to further strengthen cooperation with ICAO and
sought the Organization’s continued support for Pakistan’s rapidly expanding
aviation sector.

Secretary General Salazar welcomed the Ambassador and acknowledged Pakistan’s ongoing collaboration with both the ICAO Secretariat and its Asia-Pacific regional office in Bangkok, appreciating the country’s constructive engagement in global civil aviation matters.
