Bangladesh has approved Fly Jinnah,
a private Pakistani airline, to begin direct flights between Karachi and Dhaka.
This marks the return of direct air connectivity between the two cities after

Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, confirmed the decision, saying, "They applied,
and we granted it."

Jinnah gears up for commencing international flight operations
For Fly Jinnah to start operations,
the airline is required to appoint a local General Sales Agent (GSA) in
Bangladesh. Once this step is completed, the airline will be allocated the
necessary slots and frequencies for the route.
Previously, Pakistan International
Airlines (PIA) had operated direct flights between Karachi and Dhaka until
February 2015. Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Iqbal Hussain, announced
that operations would commence soon following an agreement with Fly Jinnah on
January 30.
