Saudia looking to attract 3.5 million
Pakistani tourists annually by 2030
Saudi Arabia’s flagship airline, Saudia, has announced plans to attract 3.5 million Pakistani tourists annually
by 2030, as part of its strategy to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030
initiative, which seeks to diversify the Kingdom’s economy through a robust
tourism sector.
Saudia has maintained a strong
presence in Pakistan since its first flight to Karachi in 1970. Today, the
airline operates numerous weekly flights connecting major Pakistani cities such
as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar, and Sialkot.

To achieve its tourism goals, Saudia
is expanding its fleet with 105 new aircraft and launching an AI-powered Travel
Companion platform. This new tool, currently in beta, is designed to streamline
the travel process by helping users book accommodations, transportation, and
activities with verified service providers.
Additionally, Saudia is enhancing
its AlFursan loyalty program with new features that improve reward management,
mileage tracking, and membership upgrades. These efforts are part of the
airline’s broader digital transformation strategy to improve the customer
experience.

Saudi Arabia views Pakistan as a key
market for religious pilgrimages, leisure tourism, and business travel. This
