At 69, President Zardari has faced
several health challenges in recent years. In March 2023, he underwent eye
surgery in the UAE, and in 2022, he was hospitalized for a chest infection at
Dr. Ziauddin Hospital in Karachi. Amid health rumors, his physician, Dr. Asim
Hussain, reassured the public via social media that Zardari was “in good
health.”
Previously, in July 2022, Zardari
tested positive for COVID-19 but experienced only mild symptoms, as confirmed
by his son and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. In 2021, he was admitted to
a private Karachi hospital for “exertion and exhaustion” due to frequent
