PIA ordered by London Court to pay £500,000 to its former
employees
A London court has ruled in favor of eight former employees of Pakistan
International Airlines (PIA) in their unfair dismissal case.
The court has ordered PIA to pay £500,000, approximately Rs 180.7 million,
in compensation to the affected individuals.
These employees were terminated from their positions two years ago and
argued that their dismissals were unjust. Reports indicate that they had been
with the airline for periods ranging from 5 to 15 years.
Under the court’s ruling, PIA is required to provide the compensation, and
the airline has confirmed its commitment to fulfill this payment to the former
workers.
