Calibration aircraft successfully tests New Gwadar International Airport

A significant milestone has been reached in the development of the New Gwadar International Airport (NGIAP) with the successful trial landing of a Calibration Aircraft on the newly constructed runway.

Welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute by the Rescue and Fire Fighting Services Department of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), this achievement highlights the collaborative efforts of both Chinese and Pakistani project teams.

Anticipated for completion and operation in the fourth quarter of this year, the airport's progress owes much to the dedication of individuals such as Ding Kan PD-CACC leading the Chinese Project Team, and Director General Airport Services and former project director NGIAP, Sadiq Ur Rehman, overseeing the Pakistani project team.

The Technical Directorates of PCAA and the Flight Inspection Unit (FIU) also played pivotal roles in achieving this milestone swiftly.
