Haj flights to start from eight cities of Pakistan
PIA is set to initiate Haj flights from eight cities starting May
9th, according to a spokesperson for Pakistan International Airlines.
Direct flights to Jeddah and Madina will be operated from
Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Quetta, Sialkot, and Sukkur.
Approximately 34,000 Haj pilgrims will be transported to the Holy
Hijaz through 170 flights scheduled from May 9 to June 10. Among them, 19,000
are government Haj scheme pilgrims, and 15,000 are private pilgrims.

Furthermore, the Road to Makkah plan will be implemented at
Islamabad and Karachi airports, streamlining the Saudi immigration process for
Haj pilgrims. This initiative aims to alleviate the long queues for immigration
in Jeddah or Madina.
PIA has issued a guidebook for Haj awareness, offering
comprehensive instructions on the Nusuk application and other essential
guidelines. Pilgrims are advised to register their mobile numbers while booking
tickets to receive timely flight information.
It is emphasized that all pilgrims should pray for the security
and development of Pakistan during their Haj rituals.

Preparations for the upcoming Haj pilgrimage were reviewed in a
meeting chaired by Airport Manager Erfan Khan and Deputy Airport Manager Saifur
Rehman. Various airport stakeholders, including airlines, ground handling
agencies, and security forces, attended the meeting to ensure smooth
operations.
