Kazakhstan’s SCAT Airlines and Hashoo Group of Pakistan enter into
partnership
SCAT Airlines, a Kazakhstan-based air carrier renowned for its
adherence to European safety standards and boasting a fleet of more than 35
aircraft, has partnered with Hashoo Group, Pakistan's largest conglomerate in
the hospitality industry. Their collaboration is aimed at facilitating direct
flight operations between Lahore and Almaty, offering two weekly flight
frequencies.
In pursuit of this partnership, Hashoo Group organized an
interactive and informative conference that featured prominent attendees, including
Yarzhan Kistafin (Ambassador of Kazakhstan), Noman Bhattai (Ambassador of
Pakistan to Kazakhstan, participating via Zoom from Kazakhstan), Haseeb Gardezi
(COO, Hospitality and Education Division, Hashoo Group), Rizwan Qaiser (CEO,
Nexus Global, SCAT Airlines Pakistan's JV Partner), as well as representatives
from the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and Kazakh Tourism.
Pakistan
and Kazakhstan launch direct flights to enhance relations
During the press conference, Mr. Gardezi highlighted the primary
objective of this groundbreaking air connectivity initiative: to promote
tourism, encourage cultural exchange, and foster business collaborations
between the two nations. He emphasized that the event not only showcased
tourism offerings from Pakistan and Kazakhstan but also facilitated discussions
between reputable tour operators from Kazakhstan and potential travel business
partners in Pakistan, paving the way for enhanced collaboration between the two
countries.
Pakistan,
Kazakhstan to establish direct air link soon
Mr. Rizwan Qaiser expressed his gratitude to Hashoo Group for
their partnership and envisioned a mutually successful journey that would play
a vibrant role in advancing tourism and hospitality ventures between Pakistan
and Kazakhstan. He underscored the historically low levels of business and
tourism exchange between the two countries, attributing it to challenges such
as limited connectivity, insufficient awareness, and limited communication
among businesses. However, he noted that collaborative efforts, support from
diplomatic channels, and the business community had significantly reduced travel
time from 15-20 hours to just 2.30 hours, marking a transformative change.
This conference marked a significant milestone in strengthening
the ties between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, opening new horizons for tourism and
business opportunities. Moreover, it aimed to enlighten corporate attendees
about the attractions and essential information related to both countries,
ultimately bridging the gap between nations through tourism.
