PIA resumes direct air services between Pakistan and China
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed direct air services between Pakistan and China, restoring its Islamabad-Beijing route after a suspension of operations.
The national carrier operated its first flight on the route on October 30, re-establishing a direct air link between the capitals of the two countries.
According to PIA, the restored service represents an important step towards strengthening air connectivity between Pakistan and China and expanding its presence in the Chinese aviation market.
Under the revised schedule, the airline will operate one weekly flight between Islamabad and Beijing every Friday. The service is expected to provide passengers with a convenient direct travel option while supporting growing business, tourism and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

PIA has also taken steps to broaden its connectivity within China through enhanced cooperation with three major Chinese airlines: Air China, Shenzhen Airlines and Hainan Airlines.
The partnership with Air China will allow PIA passengers travelling to Beijing to access onward connections to various domestic destinations across China through the Chinese carrier’s extensive network.
The resumption of the Beijing service is part of PIA’s wider efforts to restore international routes, strengthen regional connectivity and improve travel options for passengers.
With direct flights back in operation and additional connections available through Chinese airline partners, PIA aims to make travel between Pakistan and China more accessible and convenient.
