Pakistan fines eight airlines over passenger service failures

Eight airlines fined in Pakistan over poor services 

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has imposed fines on eight airlines over complaints related to poor passenger services and delays in baggage delivery at airports across the country.

According to the PAA, enforcement action followed 19 reported cases of delayed baggage delivery recorded between July 1 and August 15, 2026.

The eight airlines were collectively fined Rs1.62 million for the reported violations.

The authority said airlines are being held accountable for ensuring that passengers receive their luggage within the required timeframes and comply with established service standards.

The PAA added that monitoring of airline services is continuing at airports across Pakistan. Authorities said further action would be taken against carriers found in violation of applicable passenger service requirements.

The enforcement measures are part of the authority’s efforts to improve service standards and address passenger complaints at airports nationwide.
