PIA seeking jet fuel suppliers at London Heathrow Airport for 11 months

International Airlines (PIA) has issued a tender inviting qualified
suppliers and vendors for the procurement of Jet A-1 aviation fuel at London Heathrow Airport (LHR).
The contract will cover an 11-month period from August
1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with provisions for an earlier start date subject to
mutual agreement between both parties. According to the tender notice, the
airline estimates a total fuel uplift requirement of approximately 700,000 US Gallons
(USG) at Heathrow across the contract duration.
Context and Operational Background
The
fuel procurement tender comes as PIA continues to rebuild and expand its
long-haul international network following the lifting of a multi-year ban from
British skies.

Civil Aviation Authority and Department for Transport formally cleared
Pakistani carriers to resume UK operations in mid-2025 following comprehensive
